It is one of the first publicised examples of how the government’s required hate registers are being used in schools. From this September, children as young as five risk being placed on a hate register if they make homophobic playground taunts.

Brighton clinic starts to offer faster HIV tests
Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) in Brighton & Hove has begun to offer a new type of rapid result HIV test at its clinic which can detect the virus just four weeks after the date of infection.
Previous tests were only reliable three months after exposure to the virus.
Gay club owner goes into administration
Popbarz, the owner of gay clubs such as Ghetto in London, has gone into administration. Its administrators Ideal Corporate Solutions said it had suffered a “significant downturn in trade” .
