Paul: Please supply at least one name as evidence to prove a straight guy has slept with over 2000 women. (assuming he’s not a porn star). I know of no straight man that has ever come close to the common promiscuity of gay ones. You rabid rants convince nobody.

THis blood donation policy here in my country Australia is FLAWED!!!

Heterosexual men who “sleep around” with 2000 women are NOT banned – while a gay men who sleepes with just 1 men [thats right just 1] is banned – what a silly policy if I have ever heard it in my own country?????

THIS POLICY SHOULD BE RIPPED TO SCREADS RIGHT NOW!!!!!

I NEVER supported or donated to the Red Cross in my whole life time of 23 years being on thie earth – because of this silly, embarrassing, stupid and flawed policy.

Red cross go to hell!!!!

Yo Yo: Women are not subject to any bans. This is because this is not a homophobic ruling, but simply a sensible one because gay men are considered a high-risk category. Before you start claiming “not all gay men are promiscuous”, would you have unprotected sex with a stranger, even if they told you they didn’t sleep around? No. So why would you expect the authorities to do any different and potentially infect someone?

In the UK the NHS rejects what they see as second-class “gay blood”. It doesn’t matter that you might have been celebate for years and had several negative HIV tests, if you are a gay man your blood will be rejected which they will happily take the blood of sexually active, untested straights. You might be able to prove that you do not have HIV but you’ve got “gay blood” so they don’t want it.

Interesting topic – the demonising of gay men. Sure there are plenty of “rampant homsexuals” who do not practice safe sex., and the links between anal sex, VD etc., etc., et…

But in the fashion of true christian perspectives, of projecting ones own learned self hatred onto others, especially by singling out others that we get trained to shame – well why not.

Except when it comes down to it, the proportions of rampant hetrosexuals, bisexuals and lesbians – are about the same.

And I don’t see these people being targetted as high risk groups.

Although people can lie, perhaps we should simply ask; “How many sexual partners have you had in the last 3 months, 12 months, and 3 years.

That way the Red Cross can distance it’s self from it’s quaint christian ways of bastardry and the victimising of others.
